Branston was picked up as a stray by Swindon Pound and not claimed. When he first arrived at the pound he was quite aggressive but they discovered he had very sore and painfull boys bits. The skin was missing and they were bruised possibly due to a kick or some other trauma.
He has come on wonderfully and is now the sweetest little man you could imagine. He gets on well with the other dogs and is no trouble at all. He is a very small tri color JRT who is as cute as can be.
Branston is so weenie! and very affectionate!
Branston has just come back from the vets and is just starting to calm down. He has had his stitch removed but really paniked when he was held for the vet to get a proper look and for the first time since he arrived with us he snapped. I felt so sorry for him as it was obvious he was frightened but as soon as he was put back down he was his usual happy tail wagging self. He is still quite sore though and needs to have an eye kept on the area to make sure it carried on healing properly but other than that has a clean bill of health.
He is a wonderful little man and we all love him dearly, just hoping his forever home will come along soon for him as he deserves to be settled and loved permanently.
Update a few days later..
We have just come back from a few days away and all had a lovely time. The dogs loved it on the beach and Branston seemed to just run and run and run which was great to see as he hasn't been like that very much so far. He met lots of other dogs and although is good at coming back when called if its a particularly interesting dog then he goes a little deaf! There is not an agressive bone in his body and he just wanted to play all the time. He is such a funny little man and his cheeky character is coming out more and more every day. We have taken some photos and will get them up asap, we even managed a couple of photos where he stayed pretty still! He is a little mischevious but he is still a baby and learns very quickly. He sits and stays (most of the time) and knows his name. He loves playing with Mildred the other JRT we have at the moment and is such an affectionate little lad. Everybody who sees him melts in seconds.
